SHIRE Joins the Rare Disease Community at SSIEM

Our involvement at SSIEM

This week we are at the SSIEM congress in Rome to highlight the latest information on lysosomal storage diseases (LSDs). Events like the SSIEM (Society for the Study of Inborn Errors of Metabolism) congress provide an excellent platform to share the latest research with the rare disease community.

To help build momentum, we will be sharing regular updates through the Rare 2 Aware social media channels and a Twitter Q&A with Professor Atul Mehta, Consultant Haematologist, Royal Free Hospital. During the 6th to the 9th of September, check the Rare 2 Aware channels and visit the Rare 2 Aware blog for more information from thought leaders in the rare disease space.

Get involved

We want to hear more from congress attendees about their questions and comments related to Fabry disease. That is why we are hosting a Twitter Q&A on September 8th: to address questions from physicians about Fabry pedigree analysis. Questions can be asked leading up to, and during, the premiere of the “Our Fabry Tree” symposium on September 8th (13:15 CET).

To help facilitate the Twitter Q&A, we are happy to have Professor Mehta join us to answer questions tweeted from the audience using #AskR2A. So if you want to get involved, simply:
